The Challenge
The council needed to know which areas of the district were
at risk from flooding.
Our Solution
Airborne LIDAR data provides the most accurate means of surveying
land height; We generated contours of LIDAR data, which provided
the basis for a mathematical analysis that could create and
map flood contours and water flow pathways through the Brighton
catchment. We used a GIS to produce relevant and informative
maps to communicate the key issues to decision-makers.
