Replacement and Rehabilitation of Water Mains Stage 2  

BLACK & VEATCH HONG KONG LIMITED is seeking applicants to fill the following site staff post for our Replacement and Rehabilitation of Water Mains Stage 2 Projects.

1. Agreement No. CE 1/2005 (WS) Mains in New Territories West - Investigation, Design and Construction ("NTW") The Project covers replacement and rehabilitation of over 250 km of water mains in the New Territories West.
2. Agreement No. CE 3/2005 (WS) Mains on Hong Kong & Islands - Investigation, Design and Construction ("HKI") The Project covers replacement and rehabilitation of over 130 km of water mains on Hong Kong and Islands.
3. Agreement No. CE 6/2005 (WS) Mains in New Territories East - Investigation, Design and Construction ("NTE") The Project covers replacement and rehabilitation of over 170 km of water mains in the New Territories East.

A. RESIDENT ENGINEERS (TRENCHLESS TECHNIQUES)(Ref: RRW/RE/50/2007)
Candidates should be Corporate Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Civil Engineering Discipline) elected after 5 December 1975 or equivalent, and have Grade E or above in English (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in the HKCEE, or equivalent. Applicants shall possess 3 years experience following attainment of Corporate Membership of which 2 years shall be as Resident Engineer with experience in the construction/rehabilitation of pipelines by trenchless techniques.

Drainage Improvement in East Kowloon - Package C

BLACK & VEATCH HONG KONG LIMITED is seeking applicants to fill the following site staff posts for the East Kowloon Drainage Improvement - Package C Project (Contract No. DC/2007/05). The works of the Contract involve the construction of approximately 3.7km of drains with diameters ranging from 450mm to 2,100mm and miscellaneous drainage works at Wong Tai Sin, Shun Lee, Kwun Tong, Yau Tong, To Kwa Wan and Mongkok.

A. RESIDENT ENGINEER (Ref: EK/RE/29/2007)
Candidates should be a Corporate Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers or equivalent in an appropriate discipline with relevant experience.

B. ASSISTANT RESIDENT ENGINEERS (Ref: EK/ARE/30/2007)
Candidates should have satisfied the academic requirements for Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in Civil Discipline, and have relevant experience satisfying the training requirements for Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in Civil Discipline.

C. INSPECTOR OF WORKS (Ref: EK/IOW/31/2007)
Candidates should (a) have a Diploma from a technical institute in Hong Kong or equivalent in an appropriate discipline, with at least 7 years' relevant post-qualification experience; or (b) have a Higher Certificate from a technical college in Hong Kong or equivalent in an appropriate discipline, with 8 years' relevant experience including 5 years' relevant post-qualification experience; or (c) have at least 4 years' appropriate experience as AIOW in a Government or quasi Government project.

CEDD Contract No. GE/2006/19 10-year Extended Landslip Preventive Measures Project
Phase 4, Package B - Landslip Preventive Works for Slopes in Tuen Mun and Outlying Islands

As part of the 10-year Extended LPM project, resident site staff are required for the supervision of upgrading of slopes and retaining walls situated mostly in Tuen Mun and Outlying Islands. The 24-month work contract is due to commence in April 2007.

Applicants for Resident Works Supervisor Class I post should possess at least 3 years' relevant post-qualification experience. Candidates should (a) have 5 passes in the HKCEE including English (Syllabus B) at grade E and Mathematics at grade C, plus a Certificate from a technical institute in Hong Kong in Land Surveying or equivalent, with minimum 3 years' relevant experience; or (b) have a Higher Certificate from a technical college in Hong Kong or a Diploma from a technical institute in Hong Kong in Land Surveying, or equivalent.
